How to apply for Cheque Book in SBI
Cheque Book in SBI Bank can be requested for any Saving, Current, Cash Credit, and Overdraft accounts. They can be issued with a set of 25, 50 or 100 cheque leaves. Cheque Books are delivered to the specified address of the applicant within 7 working days from the date of request. If the cheque book is left undelivered to the address of the applicant due to some reasons, it can be collected from the respective Home Branch.

Offline Method – How to apply for Cheque Book in SBI :
- Visit nearest SBI Branch.
- Fill the form of Cheque Application and submit at the counter
- You will receive an SMS confirmation on your registered mobile number after submitting the form
You will receive your cheque book at your registered address upon successful confirmation with 7 working days.
Online Method –How to apply for Cheque Book in SBI :
Internet Banking-
- Visit onlinesbi.com and Login to your Internet Banking.
- Click on request and enquiries
- From the options , select “ Cheque book services”.
- Select the option “ Request for a new cheque book”
- Follow the instructions and provide the details being asked like the account number, multicity option , the number of cheque books, and the number of cheque leaves required.
- Confirm the details you have entered and press on submit.
- Select the delivery address from the options – Registered Address, Last Available Dispatch Address and New Address
- After successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgment or confirmation of your cheque book request.
You will receive the cheque book at the specified address within 7 working days of the request.
Yono App
- Login to your SBI YONO App
- Click on the menu option at the top left corner of the screen, and select the option Service request
- Select the last option “ cheques” and then select “ Request cheque book”
- Select the account for which you want the cheque book to be issued
- Enter the number of cheque leaves you want to be issued
- Select the address you want the cheque book to be delivered to
- Press Submit
- If the application is successful, you will receive a confirmation that the request has been successfully placed
You will receive the cheque book at the specified address within 7 working days of the request.
SMS Method
- Ensure that your mobile number is registered with the bank.
- From the registered number, send SMS to 9223488888 in the format “ REG<space>Account number”.
- If you get a confirmation of registration, you can request a chequebook by sending an SMS , ‘CHQREQ’ to 09223588888. If successful, you will receive a confirmation that your request for chequebook has been successfully submitted.
Within 10 days, you will receive the chequebook at your registered address.
Contact Centre
Dial, 1800 1234 or 1800 2100 from your registered mobile number. The call will land in the contact Centre of SBI Bank , from where you can place the request for the cheque book. They will ask and verify few details and if the verification is successful, they will place the request to send the cheque book to your registered address.
You will receive the cheque book at the specified address within 7 working days of the request.
Applicants receive a dispatch number on their registered mobile number with 2-3 days of the request, through which also they can track the status of the consignment.
In case you do not receive the cheque book within time, i.e within 7-10 days of placing the request, you can register a complaint for not receipt of cheque book by calling SBIs contact centre number
